YiSSA is a short-stay accommodation program located at 55 Batten Road, Marrara. 

​YiSSA offers accommodation for independent visitors from remote communities
who have not been able to get a place to stay in the commercial market or with their families.
There are 50 ensuite rooms available as hostel rooms for independent visitors.

Other rooms are dedicated for case managed clients through appointed service providers
and emergency situation such as cyclone and COVID lockdown.

Who can stay at YiSSA?
  • A person who is visiting Darwin

  • A person who is independent and able to pay

  • A person who is respectful to Larrakia tradition and expectations

Who can't stay at YiSSA?

  • Highly intoxicated people

  • Aggressive and disrespectful people

  • People who require special health support
    (i.e. Mental Health, Aged Care etc.)

  • Children not supported by parents/ carers

Pricing

$35/ night for 1 person

$45/night for 2 people

  • Key deposit: $50

  • Fees to be paid one week in advance

  • Price includes breakfast, lunch & dinner

  • Max 2 adults or 1 adult & 1 child in a room

  • Min stay: 1 night, max stay: 28 nights

 
 
Meal time

Meals are included in the accommodation price of paying guests.
 

Breakfast: 7-9AM
Lunch: 12-2.00PM
Dinner: 5-7PM

 

COVID Safety

YiSSA takes all the necessary measurements, in accordance with health and safety directions from the NT Government, to keep all staff and guests safe during this pandemic period.

The directions may vary depending on the local COVID situation. All workers, staff and guests are required to follow all the directions given by YiSSA staff and security when visiting YiSSA.

House Rules

  1. Minimum 1 night – Maximum 28-night stay.

  2. Check out before 10:00am to avoid additional nights’ charge

  3. Alcohol, drugs, drug paraphernalia, dangerous items, aerosols, or pets are prohibited.

  4. Yilli Rreung reserves the right to execute searches of rooms on the suspicion of illegal activity

  5. All storage containers will be security screened upon arriving or returning to YiSSA for prohibited items.

  6. YiSSA reserves the right to refuse entry to intoxicated or violent people

  7. This applies to visitors as well as guests

  8. YiSSA monitors the premise 24/7, anti-social behavior won't be tolerated.

  9. Returning to YiSSA intoxicated will be viewed as anti social behavior and is a breach of house rules

  10. Visitors are only allowed in the common areas.

  11. Visiting hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm.

  12. All visitors must sign in and out with security.

  13. All visitors are the responsibility of the guest they are visiting.

  14. Registered guests are the only occupants who may stay overnight in YiSSA accommodation

  15. Additional guest fees apply for any extra adult/s who are staying with a single guest.

  16. A maximum of two (2) adults in a room at any one time.

  17. Registered guests are the only occupants who can dine in the dining room

  18. Guests shall not fail or refuse to pay any guest fees under this agreement

  19. Guests fees are required to be paid in advance

  20. Guests shall pay YiSSA a room deposit of $50 (fifty dollars) paid in full to secure compliance with this agreement and to compensate YiSSA in the event of a lost key(s), rental arrears or damage.

  21. Parking in the horseshoe is not permitted.

  22. No smoking inside the room.

  23. It is an offence to tamper with the Fire Safety Equipment

  24. Any damage/loss to the property will be charged to the guests.

  25. Guests should notify the reception desk immediately upon noticing any damage.

  26. Guests are required to return their keys to reception upon leaving.

  27. Belongings left onsite will be held for seven (7) days only.

  28. Do not put anything down the sinks or toilets that will cause the drains to block.

  29. YiSSA provides a weekly servicing of guest rooms

  30. Rooms are to be always kept clean and tidy by residents

  31. Children must be always supervised by an adult.

  32. Under no circumstances are children of any age to be left unattended in the rooms

  33. After 9pm children must be directly supervised by a responsible adult, children will be required to return to their rooms if they are not directly supervised

  34. No electrical appliances cooking appliances or speakers are to be taken into the rooms

  35. No blow up or additional mattresses to be taken into the rooms

  36. It is an offence to tamper with the CCTV cameras.

We strive to provide all the guests with a safe and comfortable experience. Guests staying at YiSSA are required to sign an agreement to follow the House Rules, terms and conditions, policy and procedures.
