Employment and Workforce Development:
Through a joint partnership between Ironbark Employment and YRHAC will implement the following employment and training outcomes;YRHAC:
- Provide employment opportunities for 3-5 local Aboriginal people in the upgrades of houses through SIHIP at Belyuen.
- Provide employment opportunities for 3-5 local Aboriginal people in the upgrades of houses through SIHIP at Acacia Larrakia.
- Establish a repairs and maintenance team of 3-5 local Aboriginal people to provide R&M on houses at Belyuen and surrounding outstations.
- Construct or upgrade work shed to be used by R&M team at Belyuen.
- Establish local business opportunities eg. Bike repair, linked to school outcomes; ground maintenance etc.
Ironbark Employment:
- Provide training for 10-15 local Aboriginal people in the upgrades of houses through SIHIP at Belyuen.
- Provide training for 8-10 local Aboriginal people in the upgrades of houses through SIHIP at Acacia Larrakia.
- Mentoring and support to all participants at Belyuen and Acacia Larrakia.
- Establish Labour Hire list of Aboriginal people who are job ready.
- 5 year lease on lot 250 at Belyuen.
- 5 year lease on Lot 40 at Acacia Larrakia.
